About Huntertown, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Allen County, Indiana, Huntertown is one of the fastest-growing communities in northeastern Indiana. The community experienced a population increase of 172% since 2000, and now nearly 5,300 residents call the town home. Originally referred to as “The Opening” because of its location in a natural forest clearing, the town was settled in 1837. Today, many people move to the area from urbanized communities like Fort Wayne, and with more suburban subdivisions under construction, expectations for new community services have increased.

Huntertown is a primarily residential community, so while there aren’t any major attractions here, there are businesses that aim to support both locals and visitors. There are several great places to get a good meal, including The Willows, The Kitchen Table, and Papa’s Place Huntertown. Delicious desserts can be found at Sweet Sanity, a hideaway ice cream bar, or the Chocolate Thimble. Shopping is also just a quick drive away in Fort Wayne, which is home to major retailers like Walmart, Lowe’s, and many others.

Huntertown is part of a humid continental climate zone with four very different seasons. The typical summer is hot, wet, and humid. Severe weather is not uncommon, and average daily highs reach 84 degrees Fahrenheit in July. Historically, window air conditioning units were used to keep indoor temperatures cool, but many homeowners have switched to central air conditioning systems. In addition to creating a comfortable living environment, the right central air conditioner will also keep residents safe by warding off heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and other health problems.

Winters in the region are dramatically different. The area receives about 34 inches of snowfall each year, with average high temperatures only reaching about 32 degrees in January. To stay comfortable throughout the season, the right gas or electric furnace is a necessity. Huntertown area HVAC specialists can help residents to select the right one.
