About Huntington, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The history of Huntington, Indiana dates back to the 1830s. Found within Huntington County, this city is also the county seat. It is often referred to as “Lime City”, and as of 2016 over 17,100 people called Huntington home. The city is a great place to raise a family, with Huntington North High School, two middle schools, and several elementary schools found within the city limits. Several small businesses are based in Huntington, and the Catholic publisher Our Sunday Visitor also maintains its headquarters here.

This growing community is also expanding in terms of things to see and do. The Giggabuggy Painting Studio offers studio painting sessions for visitors of all artistic abilities, and Goodrich Huntington 7 is the local stadium seating movie theater. Movie lovers might also like to check out the Huntington Drive-In Theater – one of only 20 still-operating drive-ins in the state. Many families enjoy a visit to the Sheets Wildlife Museum, which offers hundreds of exotic animals and marine life, while outdoor recreation is also plentiful at Lake Clare, the Lime City Trail, and the J. Edward Roush Dam.

The varied weather conditions in Huntington provide for ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. During the winter, skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing are popular in the area, as temperatures fall to the low 30s for daily highs. The region receives about 34 inches of snow each year on average, and while these conditions might be attractive for outdoor sports, residents need to take the right precautions at home. A reliable gas or electric furnace is crucial to make it through the season safely.

Summer weather is hot, humid, ad wet, with average daily highs reaching the mid-80s during July and August. These weather patterns require that residents have some way to stay cool at home. Excessive heat indoors can lead to dangerous living conditions, not to mention fatigue and irritability among members of the household. The right central air conditioner can help residents maintain the proper temperature indoors, which will lead to a major improvement in overall comfort.
